Station 1: Clinical Assessment & Risk Recognition

Purpose

To recognise Sick v/s Non-sick.

"How do I recognise that this patient is not doing well, what can I safely do, and when should I call for help?" 

1. Who requires urgent attention (Differentiate between stable/non-sick and unstable/sick patients)

2. Recognise early deterioration ("Red flag" signs)

3. Initiate appropriate action.

Assess (Sick vs Non-Sick Patient); 

1. General appearance

2. Vital signs: HR (50-140), BP (90 - 180), Temp (100F), RR(30), SPO2 (90), Pain Score (7), GRBS (80-600)

3. Mental status (Alert v/s Altered)

4. Neurological deficit (FAST score)

5. Chest pain/severe breathing difficulty
