The Diploma in Cardiovascular Technician Course (DTVC) is designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue a rewarding career in the field of cardiovascular technology. The course spans one and a half years, encompassing theoretical instruction and practical training. It has been meticulously developed to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving healthcare industry, specifically in cardiovascular care. The coursework covers a wide range of topics related to cardiovascular technology, including anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, electrocardiography, echocardiography, cardiac catheterization, and invasive procedures. The DTVC curriculum has a well-balanced blend of classroom lectures and clinical rotations. The course offers an optional extension of six months for interested students with a stipend.
Course highlights
The program consists of one and a half years of training and a mandatory six-month internship. After completing the internship, there is an additional optional extension of another six months available for those who are interested in further experience.

The candidate has to maintain a logbook.
The final practical exam will have four stations (200 marks) - 1. Echocardiography, 2. Cath lab equipment, 3. Electrocardiography, 4. Basic life-saving measures
Score more than 70% (theory and practical separately) are eligible for the optional internship.
A Final score >90% of total marks is considered the first class, and 70-89% of a full mark is regarded as second.
The certificate would be issued by DIMS Academy upon successful completion of the program, including the training, internship, and any optional extensions.
