As part of our commitment to continuous professional development and clinical excellence, the Emergency Department at Aster Mother Areekode organises a series of focused workshops annually. These sessions aim to enhance the practical skills and critical thinking abilities of healthcare professionals in key areas of emergency care.
The Airway Management Workshop, held earlier this year, marked a strong start to this initiative. With a combination of expert-led instruction, hands-on simulation, and scenario-based learning, the session received excellent feedback and participation from staff across departments. The success of this workshop reinforces the importance of such targeted, skills-based training in improving patient care outcomes.
This session emphasises a concept-oriented approach to practical ECG reading. Participants explore traditional and advanced paradigms, including OMI (Occlusion MI) and NOMI (Non-Occlusion MI), aiming to improve real-time clinical decision-making.
A case-based learning workshop designed to build a systematic approach to arterial blood gas interpretation. Through clinical scenarios, participants develop confidence in applying ABG results to patient management.
