The Team Leader (TL) Training Program aims to equip TLs with the tools and techniques they need to effectively lead duty shifts (teams) and drive positive results. It covers a range of topics, including team management, communication skills, problem-solving, and decision-making. At the end of the program, participants will receive a certificate of completion that recognizes their achievements and demonstrates their commitment to professional development.
Program Details:
Minimum Experience Requirement: Candidates applying for the TL role must have a minimum experience of three months in the ED.
Written Exam: A written exam that covers the ED syllabus
Interviews: Selected candidates will be invited for an interview to assess their attitude and aptitude
Training: The selected Team Leaders will undergo a two-day training program that covers essential leadership skills, communication, and team management.
Expected Outcomes: Improved service levels in the ED resulted from having highly qualified and trained Team Leaders. Increased staff satisfaction and retention by providing training and development opportunities for current staff members. Increased consistency and fairness in the TL selection process.
Evaluation: The effectiveness of the TL Training Program will be evaluated through regular feedback from staff members, doctors, and department managers. The performance of the Team Leaders will also be monitored over a period of time, with identified areas for improvement addressed accordingly.

By equipping current and aspiring Team Leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge, we aim to provide better care to our patients and create a more positive work environment for our staff. Team Leaders who complete the program will receive a certificate of completion recognizing their efforts and achievements, and selected TLs will be eligible for a salary increase.e

Medical emergencies - Hypoglycemia, ACS, Stroke Scale, Anaphylaxis, Sepsis, Hyperglycemia( DKA / HHS ) and Electrolytes

Paediatric emergencies - Respiratory arrest, appendicitis, seizure and head trauma
Pain Management (NSAIDs, Opiates and Nerve block)

RSI drugs - 1. Premedication (Fentanyl), 2. Induction agent (Etomidate) and 3. Paralytic agents (Scolin and Vecuronium).
Shock medications - infusions (Adrenaline, Nor-adrenaline and Dopamine), Crystalloids (NS & RL) and Blood products (PRBC, FFP and Platelets)
